Support Mainstage Theatre Company
MAINSTAGE THEATRE COMPANY opened its doors and heart thirteen years ago. From 25 fabulous musical productions to hundreds of young people who have passed through its doors, it continues to provide new and rewarding opportunities for youth who are passionate about the performing arts.
Many of our actors have gone on to professional training and performing. But whether our young people pursue careers in the arts or not, one thing is certain, all of the youth who are a part of MAINSTAGE receive the benefits of participating in a high quality theatre program that nurtures their creativity and talent, instills confidence and self-esteem, and fosters positive personal growth. MAINSTAGE also breeds a real sense of community!
In addition to being committed to producing high quality shows and nurturing youth in the arts, we also believe that no young person should be denied the opportunity to participate in a production for financial reasons. As such, the company endeavours to provide bursaries for those who need assistance.
But how does all of this happen? It takes funding because putting on these productions is very expensive! And, as the story usually goes, particularly with not for profits, we are often struggling to find the dollars for each production, to do all that we can for the young people and for the production itself.
