Alain Richer
​Director

Alain is a graduate of both the Queen’s University Drama Department and English Department. He is a television production designer for Télévision Francophone en Ontario (TFO). Before arriving in Toronto, Alain spent six years studying and practicing theatre in Kingston where he co-founded and produced Collective Productions, for which he was most active in the roles of Director and Designer. For Mainstage Theatre Company, he has directed Anything Goes, Pippin, Hairspray, Legally Blonde, 
Sweeney Todd, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
 and designed Cabaret, Fiddler on the Roof and Singin' in the Rain. Other Toronto Credits include: Lighting Design: Le malade imaginaire (TFT), Espoir Espwa (TFT), One Good Marriage (FLINT theatre); Set Design: The Goat, or Who is Sylvia? (ATIC), Delicacy (Theatre Brouhaha), Le Placard (TFT). He has also worked as Production Manager and Scenic Artist.
For Mainstage: Sweeney Todd, Legally Blonde, Hairspray, Footloose, Rent, and Anything Goes. Other credits include Crazy for You and A New Brain (Queen’s Musical Theatre), Beauty and the Beast (Fallen Rock Productions), and The 25th Annual ... Spelling Bee (Lock and Keynote Productions), One Song Glory (Musical Stage Company). As orchestral arranger: The Wonderful Music of Disney, The Beatles Spectacular, and Star Taxi (Gros Morne Summer Music, Corner Brook, NL).
Shari is the musical director and a founding member of Open Corps, a collaborative theatre ensemble. Her original cabaret musical, “WAKE”, written and performed with Chris Jackman, premiered with Gros Morne Summer Music in summer ’14 and toured Northern Ontario with the LaSalle Theatre. She is the founder of Lock and Keynote Productions, a company dedicated to producing musical theatre camps in Northern Ontario and Western Newfoundland. She has been a teacher with Randolph Academy Kids Program, and currently teaches with Lock and Keynote Music Studio, her private studio in the Upper Beaches.

Michele is excited to be back with Mainstage working on Sweet Charity after an awesome experience choreographing Anything Goes.  Past choreography credits include Junie B Jones, Anything Goes, Avenue Q, Fancy Nancy, Spamalot, Rent, and The Sound of Music (Choreographer/ The LOT), Urinetown, Marvellous Wonderettes (Director), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Blue Champagne, and Tales of Ti-Jean (Choreographer/ Stephenville Theatre Festival), and Back In ’59 (Asst. Choreo/ Showboat Theatre.) Michele has just finished performing in Grease at the Winter Garden Theatre.
This is Martine’s ninth show with Mainstage and she is thrilled to be working with them once again. She has worked as a production manager, assistant stage manager costume designer, and head of wardrobe. Most recently, she was the costume designer for an independent short film. Martine graduated from Queen’s University with a B.A. (Honors) in Drama and Film in 2012 and from the University of Toronto with a Masters in Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies in 2013.​

Noah is a lighting designer originally from Vancouver, now resident in Toronto. Recent credits include: Cendrillon (The Royal Conservatory), Ruby Red Burlesque (Concrete Vertigo Productions), Treasure Island, Dances 2016, Arranged Marriage (Ryerson University), MANICPIXIEDREAMGIRLS (Rock Bottom Movement), Momentum 2016 (The School of Toronto Dance Theatre), Crush (The Banff Centre). Assistant credits include: Fall For Dance North (Sony Centre), Still (The Banff Centre), Program 2 (Ballet BC), A Little Too Cozy (Against The Grain Theatre).

Nick is excited to be back for his third show with Mainstage. Currently in Grade 12 at Crescent School, Nick started as an actor before switching to stage management in Grade 9. Though Nick specializes in stage management, he also has credits in lighting design and sound. After high school, Nick hopes to pursue business and law, and hopefully continue stage management on the side!
Stage Management credits include: Robin Hood, The Laramie Project, Love/Sick (Crescent School); Assistant Stage Management credits include: School for Scandal, A Christmas Carol, Madagascar, Inherit the Wind (Crescent School), Anything Goes (Mainstage); Other credits include: Lighting Design: Madagascar, Rock Benefit Concert (Crescent School); Sound Operator: The Wizard of Oz (Crescent School), Beauty and the Beast (Bravo Academy); Technical Director: How to Succeed in High School Without Really Trying (Bishop Strachan School)​
