For our Spring production, we are producing Legally Blonde, the iconic musical based on the popular film of the same name. AUDITIONS ARE NOW OPEN for youth ages 11-21. No prior experience required!
We are accepting video audition submissions until Monday January 17th at 8:00pm. And we're holding in-person callback auditions on Thursday January 20th between 5:00-9:00pm.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS Prepare cuts of two musical theatre songs. Ideally, this should be performed with an instrumental track or piano accompaniment but if that’s not possible, it is okay to sing it acapella. Don’t worry about the quality of the video. We’re here to assess your vocal capabilities and your acting through the song – not your filmmaking skills! Our goal is to see you succeed and pick out all the great things from your audition! We want to make auditioning for The SpongeBob musical simple and understand that some performers may not have experience preparing and submitting audition videos. Please contact uswith any questions!
Mainstage Theatre Company is committed to creating programming that is inclusive. We are actively seeking audition submissions from young people of all backgrounds, abilities, and ethnicities within this selection process.
REHEARSALS Rehearsals for Legally Blonde will take place Friday evenings between 5-9pm and Sunday afternoons between 2-8pm. Not all cast members are called for every rehearsal.
