For our 16th season, we are thrilled to announce that we’ll be producing, live and in-person, two well-loved contemporary musicals. We are so excited to come back stronger than ever, continuing to provide youth with quality mentorship, professional show experience all in the downtown core. As the premiere youth theatre company in Toronto we are committed to helping our cast members live out their dreams onstage and offstage we know that they will build lifelong friendships and lasting memories.
We are producing the Disney Musical FREAKY FRIDAY this coming December (2022)
A classic story of a mother and daughter who magically swap bodies for 24 chaotic hours has been given a contemporary spin with tons of great parts to play, a hilarious new book by Bridget Carpenter (“Parenthood,” “Friday Night Lights”) and a driving pop‐rock score by Tony Award® and Pulitzer Prize winners Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey (Next to Normal, If/Then).
Our spring production Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, the Enchanted Edition will surely get you excited! Audition in January, perform in downtown Toronto in May!
Cinderella the Enchanted version is inspired by the acclaimed 1997 teleplay starring Brandy and Whitney Houston, this version of the magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance.
With the success of our 21-22 season, we are pleased to continue with in-person rehearsals and invite back live audiences into our theatres for these productions. Everyone’s safety remains a company priority while we continue to face the effects of Covid-19 and we are confident that our team has the skills to navigate shifting protocols and any restrictions that might emerge during our programming.
We can’t wait for you to be a part of it! We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming auditions, in the audiences for our productions, or supporting us during one of our other events. Raise the curtain on a new season!!!
