Danik McAfee
Director

Danik McAfee is an Algonquin-Métis, French Canadian and Two Spirited  Performer and emerging Director from Aylmer Québec. He is a graduate of the Musical Theatre Program at College Lionel-Groulx and the Randolph College for the Performing Arts. Since his graduation, Danik has travelled across the country to perform in many theatres. Selected Theatre credits include: The Wizard of Oz (Scarecrow) and Rocky Horror (Frank N’Furter/ Capitol Theatre of Moncton), Timothy Findley’s The Wars  by Dennis Garnhum (The Grand Theatre), A Christmas Carol (Carter-Ryan Production) The Dream Catchers (ChFestival 2017), Lumière/ Beauty and The Beast, King Herod/ Jesus Christ Superstar(LOT) Ohio and Tadeu (Rhubarb Festival 2015), GIG (Panasonic Theatre/ CAL), Électro Bing Bang (Théâtre Novo), Weesageechak Festival 2017/2018 (Native Earth) and the Emcee in “Cabaret” with First Act Productions for which he has won the 2016 My Theatre Award for  “Best Performance in a Musical”. Furthermore, Danik is also an emerging Director and he has work on many productions such as: Saucy Jack and The Space Vixens (Co-Director, Small But Mighty), The Charlottetown Festival 2018 Young Company (AD to Matt Murray), OLTA (YPT, AD to Mary Francis Moore), Moll World Premiere (AD to Tamara Bernier), A Glass Hive (AD to Bruce Dow), Skriker (AD to Darlene Spencer), The Life (Director, Call It A Day Productions) After co-directing Urinetown for Mainstage, Danik is beyond excited to direct SpongeBob the Musical! He can’t wait to share his love of Bikini Bottom with the cast and audiences and bring this hilarious animated musical to life! 

Chris Tsujiuchi's performance credits include Recurring John, Paradises Lost (Summerworks Festival), Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors (Lower Ossington Theatre) and most recently Frank N. Furter in Rocky Horror (Hart House Theatre). Musical Direction credits include The Last Five Years (YRG Productions), Onegin (Musical Stage Company/National Arts Centre/Arts Club Western Canada Tour), 35MM (Toronto Premiere), Any Dream Will Do (Angelwalk Theatre & Theatre Collingwood), A Misfortune (Next Stage Festival), HAIR (FirstAct Productions), Mickey & Judy (Toronto Fringe/Best of Fringe), and bare (Canadian Premiere/WatersEdge Productions).  Chris has worked as an accompanist and teacher at Sheridan College, Randolph Academy, and George Brown College. He has toured extensively with Sharron Matthews, the Nathaniel Dett Chorale, and can also be seen performing in Asian Riffing Trio (aka ART).

Michele couldn’t be more excited to go underwater with Mainstage working on Spongebob, the Musical! 
She returns to Mainstage after Co-Directing/Choreographing Urinetown; Choreographing Sweet Charity, The Music Man, Anything Goes and Directing/ Choreographing Newsies!  Past credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Director/ The LOT), Little Shop of Horrors, Junie B Jones, Anything Goes, Avenue Q, Fancy Nancy, Spamalot, Rent and The Sound of Music (Choreographer/ The LOT), Marvelous Wonderettes (Director/ Stephenville Theatre Festival), Urinetown, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Blue Champagne, and Tales of Ti-Jean (Choreographer/ Stephenville Theatre Festival), and Back In ’59 (Asst. Murphy is incredibly excited to begin her fourth season with Mainstage Theatre working on The SpongeBob Musical! Murphy Diggon is a producer, production manager and stage manager for theatre and film. Murphy holds a degree in Theatre Production and Design from York University. Since graduation, she has spent a year teaching English in Japan and another traveling the US for theatre productions. She currently spends her time as the Assistant Production Manager for the Canadian Opera Company, Venue Manager for Space Space Revolution, and playing with puppets with her children's theatre company Felt Heart Collective. Selected Theatre credits include: Urinetown, The Music Man, Matilda and Newsies (Rehearsal Manager / Mainstage Theatre), Shopkins Live Tour (APM & ASM / Koba Entertainment), Pan AM Panamania (PSM / City of Toronto),  Wow Factor: A Cinderella Story (PM / COC), Get Better (Producer & SM / BuzzKill Productions - Selected to perform at the Toronto Rehab Awards Ceremony), Marina and the Cryptids (Producer & SM / Felt Heart Collective), Salt Water Moon (SM / Strive Theatre).
