ASHLEY MEDEIROS-FELIX
DIRECTOR She/Her Ashley is thrilled to be back directing for Mainstage Theatre Co. and on a show that’s been on her bucket list for some time!
A Toronto native, theatre school graduate and member of ACTRA, Ashley is a respected Theatre Director, Choreographer, Arts Educator, Adjudicator and Audition Coach when she is not on stage, in a voice booth or on-screen herself. Ashley is the Resident Choreographer for SoundCrowd Toronto, is on Faculty at Randolph College, is Director of the Randolph Kids pre-professional Young Company and is an adjudicator for the National Theatre School Drama Festival at the regional level. Ashley has an industry reputation for fusing creativity, compassion and a strong work ethic in all her artistic endeavours and a consistency in motivating others toward success with a collaborative yet decisive style. She is driven to tell compelling stories and has a passion for helping emerging artists find their voice. Ashley has had the fortune of performing on stages across North America, including the prestigious Carnegie Hall in NYC. You can hear her as the featured voice in National commercials for various Ronald McDonald House Charities campaigns, McDonald's Happy Meals, and McCain Deep n' Delicious, to name a few. Recent notables: Last spring, her choreography was featured at the prestigious Lincoln Centre for the Performing Arts in NYC and at Toronto's Isabel Bader Theatre. Ashley made a return to the stage in 'Chicago' the musical in summer 2025 and after choreographing 3 sold out concerts of Bruno Mars & Lady Gaga hits this past winter, Ashley is ambitiously directing two musicals and choreographing a show choir simultaneously this spring. MICHAEL IPPOLITO
MUSIC DIRECTOR He/Him Michael Ippolito (He/Him) is a music director, pianist, and bassist working in Toronto. Michael started learning the piano at age nine, and since then as developed a deep love for both music and how to use it to convey feeling. He started his theatre journey by playing bass in pit bands while studying music at Western University. Michael holds a Bachelor of Music with an honours specialization in education, and a Bachelor of Education degree in music and English. After finishing at Western, Michael moved back to Toronto where he has continued working as a pit musician. He has since transitioned to music direction, and is a recent recipient of a 2025 Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding Creative Direction. Michael is beyond excited to work with Mainstage, and continue honing his skills as a music director alongside the creative team, and the dedicated young artists who bring these shows to life.

STEPHEN COTA
CHOREOGRAPHER He/Him Stephen Cota has been performing all over Canada in the greatest theatres this country has to offer for the last 25 years including 17 seasons at the Stratford Festival both onstage and as a Choreographer, Associate Choreographer and Assistant Director. He is currently a part-time faculty member at Sheridan College where he teaches a styles class for the fourth-year students and fulltime faculty member at Randolph College for the Performing Arts.
During the pandemic, Stephen founded In The Wings, a theatre training platform where he works with artists at all levels of their career to further their training and development. It has been the joy of his career to work with aspiring artists, helping guide them with the knowledge and practical skills to break into the industry.
